These regimented daily work habits will make them successful the rest of their lives. We use a common sense approach where we are concerned more about the child’s behavior than their feelings. This really works well and gets the students well grounded in an appropriate work ethic that will propel them to succeed in any endeavors of the future.
At our school for troubled youth, we believe in fostering a culture of respect through the cultivation of four core habits and values:
1. **Honesty and Integrity**: We emphasize the importance of truthfulness and setting personal boundaries. The moment our students learn to consistently tell the truth is when they truly begin to transform. Truth and trust go hand-in-hand and serve as the foundation for building strong relationships.
2. **Work Ethic**: Our students develop a strong work ethic that fosters effective work habits. This not only prepares them to maintain any job, but also empowers them to excel in their careers.
3. **Proper Socialization.**: We don’t allow our students to be on the Internet or social media. We teach them to socialize just like they used to years ago, face-to-face, socially it’s like taking a step back in time. We require our students to perform at least two unselfish acts of service daily done in secret and done anonymously.. By participating in acts of anonymous unselfish service, they learn the value of community and the joy that comes from helping others.
4. ** Gratitude, Respect and Reverence**: These beautiful characteristics often begin to reveal themselves after six to eight months in our program. When a student embodies gratitude, respect, and reverence, it signifies significant growth. If your child were displaying these core virtues, then you probably wouldn’t need us; where as if they are not displaying such necessary attributes then maybe our program would be a good choice for your student.
